Day 47: Deception Revealed

First off.. I am in the UK and have been planning this for the last two weeks. Don’t worry I fly back to Ghana next Friday to continue my journey.
Why? I hear you ask? …

I came back to ask Amy (my partner) to marry me. She did not have a clue, even though I told her several times this last week that I would come back Sunday for five days. She thought I was joking. I am pleased to say she has said yes.

A big thank you to my co-conspirators Christine (Amys mum) and Hussain.

While my blogs over the last few days have been truthfull, they have also been deliberately misleading because I wanted Amy to be surprised by me being at Aberaeron with a ring in hand when she left work. It worked a treat. Last night i was messaging her from Accra airport saying I had expensive accomodation that included food (an airplane). Overnight I flew to Amsterdam and this morning flew to Cardiff where Amys mum, step-dad and sons picked me up (Amy thought they were going shopping in Ikea).
It nearly went wrong when Amy left work early but fortunately it turned out ok.

I will not be blogging the next few days but will restart next Friday when I fly back to Accra to pick up the bike. Those great guys from CPS Security are looking after it so it is in safe hands.
